Our pre-apprenticeship 6th form engineering programme here at N.A.College is a two-year programme designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain an apprenticeship place with Nissan or one of its first tier suppliers.
The programme will provide a range of training in 3D CAD design, CNC machines, go-karting and work experience to enhance the position of a successful apprenticeship placement.
Students embark on an exciting new engineering programme which has the full backing of Nissan throughout their studies, gaining valuable work experience throughout the two years.
The programme has been enhanced with the full F1 STEM Challenge, which incorporates 3D CAD design and working on CNC machines. Also added to the programme are full-size motorised go karts, which the students will build and get the chance to drive.
On successful completion of the program, the students have a real opportunity to gain an apprenticeship with Nissan or one of their Tier 1 suppliers.
Year 1 – Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technologies & Level 2 Fundamental Engineering Practices.
Year 2 – Level 3 Engineering Qualification TBC once the government’s new Trailblazer apprenticeship framework has been finalised.
