This Pre-Apprenticeship Sixth Form offers the skills, qualifications and knowledge you will need to secure an apprenticeship with Nissan or Tier 1 suppliers.

The Programme covers courses in Engineering, Health and Safety and Fundamental Engineering Principles.
The sixth form has been extremely successful in its first year, with 100% pass rate on the level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technologies. Last year six learners who passed a level 3 unit in Engineering Maths, were successful in securing a place as trainee Maintenance Technicians at Nissan. Along with four learners who secured a place as Manufacturing Staff at Nissan and four other learners who were successful in securing a place with Nissan Tier 1 suppliers. This gave an 82% success rate of learners entering employment, after year one.
The sixth form is centred on building learner’s confidence and life skills, supporting and preparing them to be job ready. This programme will ensure learners are fully prepared for any future apprenticeship tests; as well as fully supported in preparation for interviews. Tutors will even give guidance when it comes to early stage groundwork, for example writing CV’s and cover letters ready to apply for positions.

Learners who have not successfully gained a level 4 GCSE in Maths and English will be required to take resits. At NA College pre-apprenticeship sixth form, learners will be surrounded by tutors who are there to help aid their revision. For those learners wanting to apply for apprenticeships with Nissan, full support will be provided when preparing for their Functional Skills test.
